The Uttarakhand Government has signed 9 MoUs with nine companies during the ‘Atulya Bharat’ investors’ meet organised by the ‘Union Tourism Ministry’ at New Delhi during September 21-23 for projects across various themes.
Under this agreement state govt is planning to set up tent Cities, wellness resorts, yoga and wellness institutes, a hill resort in Tehri Lake and Dak Bunglow operations and maintenance worth Rs 507 crore in Uttarakhand to the utmost extent and the state government is all set to boost tourism.
Informing this here on September 24, Shailesh Bagauli said that the memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed with nine companies during the ‘Atulya Bharat‘ investors’ meet organised by the “Union Tourism Ministry” at New Delhi during September 21-23.
The MoUs were largely related to wellness resorts, tent city, yoga, wellness institutes, tehri lake, a hill resort and the functioning and management of the Dak Bungalows in the state, he said. Expressing happiness over the interest shown by investors to invest in the state, Bagauli said a single-window system will ensure ease of doing business in Uttarakhand, adding that the tourism policy of the state was being formulated in association with Yes Bank.
Sailesh Bagauli, secretary Tourism, said, “We are overwhelmed to have received such an enthusiastic response from investors who are keen to invest in tourism sector in Uttarakhand. The state government is fully committed to support all stakeholders contributing towards growth and development in the State. Our single window mechanism is a proactive step towards facilitating ease of doing business in the state.”
